The swine?

I love how everyone jumps to this conclusion....I mention Cameron has a temp and instant question is does he have swine flu? No, the pig has not contaminated our house!!!! Cameron does have a temp and he's so funny when he reads the thermometer to me. He'll say something like, "I'm 102.5 hot" or "It's hot 101.8" it sounds like a radio station to me! But this morning we took his temp and he said, "oh, I'm 99% hot!" Yes, son and so is your mom!!!!!!

Do people know what's HOT and what's NOT?

The Bazaar was yesterday and I walked away a little disappointed. I felt there was not as much foot traffic or as many vendors.....people that stopped and looked loved the stuff but did not buy! Matter of fact I saw a lot of people with empty hands. I was more sad for my sister because her jewelery is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! I love what she does...it's fun, flirty and feminine! So.....not going to give up, have a few more ideas in my head and will continue to move forward.
NOW WHO WANTS TO HAVE A PARTY??????

Don't mind the chairs I forgot to remove before taking the picture!

Where did this season go?

Don't' laugh but soccer season started again in August and I have not blogged about it one time and now soccer season is over! This season was very interesting.....Cameron had the great opportunity of being on the same team as last year with the same coach but I spent most of it wanting to pull my hair out in frustration! My child could be a great soccer player but he does not understand the concept of a "team sport" and spent most of the season crying, pouting and freaking out over everything. I'm hoping that this is just a phase and he will grow out of it.

Here he is having a moment...

and here he is playing like he does so well!!!!!

Also don't miss the video it's the world's best goal!!!

An Owl Rescue

As I was leaving a friend's house last night this beautiful creature hobbled out in front of my car. It was obvious it had a very broken wing. He jumped on a rock and just stared at me. I wasn't quite sure what I should do so I called my friend Sarah. She told me she would come and get it. I asked her what she was going to do with it and she said I'm not sure but I'll come and get it.....15 minutes later she text me, "holy cow I caught it!" I called her and she had it back at her apartment in a box and was calling 24 hour vets. She found a place in Bellevue that was willing to take it and then a bird rescue place would pick it up in the morning. I'm excited because this place is a rescue, recovery and release facility. So, hopefully before long Mr. Owl will be up and flying again!

Kissy, Kissy, Kissy cont.

M: Is there a girl who likes you in your class?
C: Yes
M: How do you know?
C: She looks pretty at me.
M: (giggling so hard) she looks pretty at you?
C: Yes (sounding embarrassed), I try not to look at her but I can't help it.
M: Has she ever tried to kiss you?
C: No!!
M: You know you're not allowed to kiss at school, right?
C: Mom, I know that!

Kissy, Kissy, Kissy

I went to a meeting today at Cameron's school. I have to say they've been so supportive and absolutely love my son.....I have not been to focal about what's going on in our world but it's not pretty. Cameron and I are struggling!!! But the good thing is I still have a smile on my face and can still laugh even when I want to cry. My mom asked me last night if I regret my decisions around Cameron (for those that know me know what I'm not talking about) ? I don't regret anything I just never realized how hard this would be. But on a positive note there is a light at the end of the tunnel and I'm living in the solution today....stay tune we have an appointment on November 30th!!!!!

So, in the meeting today I hear that there is a little girl that has a HUGE crush on Cameron and she passed a note with a picture of her kissing my son. All I could do was laugh and think my son's going to be a lady killer!!! I had to warn the teacher and say that if she goes in for a kiss that Cameron will kiss her back. Don't know if I shared with you or not but I caught Cameron kissing the neighbor girl a month or so ago. He loves to gives kisses to anyone who will kiss him including his cousin (lol....lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol) I don't think I even realized boys existed till I had a boyfriend in the 4th grade for like 2 minutes.

On a side note: I cheated yesterday and went to lunch with some friends. It was a salad bar place so I don't feel that bad but I do feel like I let Teri down....ugh!!!!

The Challenge

So, my sister challenged her followers to not eat out for the whole month of November (check it out here). I love to eat out but I hate to spend the money. My first thought was how am I going to go a whole month with no SUSHI?????? I'm still trying to wrap my head around that one but I said I'd try despite my addiction to raw fish!

Side note: I do have 2 eating out functions that were previously planned for the end of the month so I will be attending those!

What I'm most excited about is I'm going to have extra money and my waist line is going to love me. I've put on exactly 12 pounds since Christmas (did I just admit that out loud) and I'm not happy about it....I thought sushi was suppose to be healthy? So, it's time to get rolling downward instead of continuing to climb up!!!!

So..................here is the main purpose why I'm even writing all this crap.....................................you ready????? Since starting this challenge oh 6 days ago...........................you sure your ready??? Well, I've lost 6.5 pounds!!!!! Hallelujah the choir is singing over here!!!!! It's not too late to start the challenge!!! Next month I've challenged my sister to not buy crafts!!!! WOW!

He almost got me!

So, last night I was driving home with the music cranked up and got stopped at a light. I looked up in the rear view window and saw a cop behind me and I knew I was getting pulled over. The light turned green and his lights came on.

Cop: Good Evening your being audio and visually taped
Mandy: OK
Cop: May I have your license please.
Mandy: (digging through my cute but very large bag) here you go!
Cop: Proof of insurance?
Mandy: Yea, it's in my glove box (now digging for that....luckily it's on top)
Cop: (as he's looking at my stuff) Are you aware of the speed limit?
Mandy: (knowing I was probably speeding I said a higher speed so I didn't look so bad) It's 40 mph.
Cop: No, it's 35 and I got you going 45
Mandy: Oh, I don't think I was going that fast
Cameron: Yea, my mom was speeding
Mandy: Cameron be quiet
Cameron: She was speeding. She's been pulled over three times before.
Mandy: Cameron please stop (trying not to laugh while my son is ratting me out)
Cop: (a call came on his radio) here you go I got to go

I was so lucky!!!! He got another call, turned on his lights and burnt rubber down the road!!! Now what to do with Cameron tattling on his mother!!!! Lucky for me my insurance goes down this month if I stay out of trouble!!!!!! Moral of the story: Slow down!!!
