What, he can't be 6 already?????

Cameron turned six on the 29th of August...its amazing how time flies. It was not that long ago I was pregnant and giving birth...well, I really try not to think about it! We took Cameron to breakfast at Denny's. I was thinking pancakes, bacon and some oj but NO he wanted a burger and fries. Hmmmm, ok it's your birthday!
Aunt Jamie, Uncle Steve and Kensie came...Cameron was telling everyone that they got him a "credit card!" That's what you get when you have a rich uncle!!!! Really it was a Target card but what's the difference.

Cameron is hot and cold with Kensie. Some days he likes her and others days...well, not so much! It really makes Kensie sad. I asked him if he was going to be kind to her today and he said, "Yes, today my heart is not broken but tomorrow it might be and then I can't be her friend." Where did he learn that? It looks like his heart is ok today!

I have the funniest brother EVER!!!! They're all moving to California and I'm totally bummed! When you get use to someone being around all the time...it's going to be weird not having them. But I'm not going to think about it right now because I will cry! They are coming back for Halloween (Dallin will be her too) which will be way fun!

After breakfast I took Cameron to meet his Grandma for the weekend and off to Ensign Ranch I went. My calling in church is the stake single adult rep (that is singles 30 to dead). I love my calling and meet a lot of great people. This camp out is a huge activity that takes a lot of planning. It's the longest running singles activity in the area (33rd year). There were approximately 800 people there (singles and their families)...we have church under a huge tent and tons of activities. The Federal Way stake was in charge of security...look at the cool rig I got to drive around in.

My dad asked me when I got back "how was hunting?" I'm reading the Twilight serious right now (on the last book) and I pictured myself hunting like the Cullen's. Not a pretty sight! I tell my "non-Mormon" friends that I'm out "husband hunting" (not very good at it--obviously!) But really that does not sound to appealing either.

Look who's 50 something!!!!!

We love birthdays and in August there is a lot of them...my mom turned 50 something on Tuesday. Jamie & Steve flew back from California and joined us at Red Robin. The funniest part of the whole night was when they came and sang and actually announced her real age to the whole restaurant--oops!!!!!
She looks great for 50 something!!!!!

What do you mean we're not coming back...

Cameron has been attending Children's Therapy Center for his sensory issues for the past 2 1/2 years. He has been with his current OT Jennifer for almost 2 years. She has been an angel...giving us so many solutions and really helping Cameron find ways to deal with life. Cameron always looked forward to Mondays because this is the day we went to "Jennifer's House"...and boy does she have a cool one-lol!

Each week when we got there Cameron would make a schedule of what he wanted to do (or what is body was needing)...usually big motor activities. Playing with a bucket of beans is very relaxing...you should try it!!!

or what about riding a scooter up and down the hallway?

We love you Jennifer!

We are going home...

Cameron & I have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks...I'm tired of sleeping on the air mattress and really want to sleep in my own bed (by myself). We have had a great time...but it's time to go home. The plan is to drive to Boise tonight sleepover and then drive the rest tomorrow--yea!

Yesterday we headed back to the water park to play...Cameron jumped off the spring board again several times. However, his last jump he made a gesture and a sound that made the lifeguard believe he was in trouble so she leaped in after in him. He was so embarrassed!!! We had to fill out a report and she asked that he not jump off anymore today. I'm still not sure if he was really in trouble or just messing around.

Cameron pressured Aunt Vicki and I to stand under the water bucket...it comes down hard. Check out my hair?

Cameron & I playing

I love this place...I wish there was on of these in WA
Today Cameron thought it would be fun to try on a swim cap he found at my sister's, "look mom I look like Michael Phelps." You decide...

Cameron wanted to go to Build-a-Bear or Build-a-Dinosaur in his case. I told him he could get something for his vacation and this is what he chose.

What's the big deal?

Really, what's the big deal? In Washington I see Sonic commercials all the time (note: we don't have Sonic in Washington) so I've been curious to try it. Hmmm, not impressed at all--got a Reeses Sonic Blast, thinking it would be kinda like a Blizzard. I think I'll stick with DQ. Yes, and even though I did not like it I ate the whole thing. Go figure!
On Thursday we had a girls day out...before shopping we pampered ourselves with a pedicure!

Guess which foot belongs to which sister??

Today we met my cousin Sarah and her daughter Addison for lunch. It was great to see her and to catch-up!!! It's been way too long! Also at lunch Cameron brought his new toy...a hanger from Kohl's--funny how a simple object can be so fun!

We are having sooooooooo much fun!!!!!

I'm a picture taking queen right now!!!!! Excuse all the pics but a lot of exciting things have happened in the last 2 days. On Tuesday we all (Aunt Vicki, Aunt Teri, Dallin, Cameron & I) headed to BYU. What a nightmare...it's education week. I felt a little left out because I was not sporting a tag with my name and place of residency. Cameron & I decided to go bowling instead of fighting the crowds.

That evening, thanks to my sister who babysat Cameron for me, I was able to go spend the evening with 3 of my college girlfriends and have a sleepover at the Little America!  We had a blast...I had forgotten how much I really love and miss these girls and what fun we had at school.

This is Carrol & Mindy

This is DeDe

We ate at California Pizza Kitchen at the Gateway and then went shopping

We had a great time looking at DeDe's scrapbook...I wish I would of remembered mine

I have to admit I was a party pooper; I fell asleep sometime between 2:30 and 3:00 (at least they did not freeze my bra) and they were all up till 4:30. I woke up periodically with my bed vibrating from giggles. It's been 16 years since I met these girls and I hope we do this again really soon.

I got home around 11am and we ran off to take the kids swimming

This contraption spills about gallons and gallons of water...Cameron stood below and got soaked...I attempted to take a pic of him

Where did he go?

Dallin loves the kiddy pool

Aunt Vicki showed Cameron the spring board and he jumped and jumped and jumped forever!
Look at my great picture taking ability...

Do we really get to ride on a train?

Today we decided to ride the train to Temple Square and head to the Gateway to play in the water. By far the train ride and Temple Square were the highlights of the day.

"Mom, are we really going to ride on a train?" "Mom, will it go really fast?" Mom, where are all these people going?" "Mom, this is so cool!" "Mom, which one of Thomas' friends will pick us up?"

"Cameron, which one of Thomas' friends picked us up?" "We're on Percy and there goes Gordon and here comes Diesel!" Aunt Teri was shocked to hear that she lived in a city where Thomas lives too.

We stopped to have lunch at the famous JB's!!!
(ok, not famous but convenient)

Grandma & Grandpa A. headed to the Family History Library and we headed to Temple Square. I've been here many times...I was so excited to bring Cameron and show him around.

Cameron is so fascinated with all the temples in Utah and especially Moroni. With only one temple in Washington and not driving by it that often it's a cool thing to see so many.

Aunt Vicki & Cameron

This is my favorite place on Temple Square...I always feel so much joy & gratitude while sitting in this room. Cameron also was excited. My sister's told him as we were walking up the ramp that he was walking into heaven. When they got to the top they told him he made it, "I did?" After we sat there for a minute he told me he wanted to walk into heaven again.

I loved that Cameron wanted to wander around and check out everything...he does not stay put for long but he tries. We found a display of Book of Mormons in all the different languages--of course we had to find the one in German. For those that don't know I have a sister who is serving in Germany right now!!!!

It's hard to get Cameron to pose for pics so I was impressed that he was so willing today!!!

Back on the train and off to the spray park! We were prepared and brought suits and towels.

Cameron loved the water here...Dallin on the other hand was not too sure about the whole thing.

Unfortunately, the big water only sprays every 30 minutes for about 5 minutes. But none the less it was fun.

Mmmmm, Aunt Teri bought chocolate ice cream from Ben & Jerry's!

Cameron loves Dallin and will share anything with him...even ice cream!

This was a great day!!!! By the time the day was over we had 2 very hot & tired boys!
