Happy 8th Birthday Cameron

I have a wonderful friend and her name is Nancy!!! She's so creative and an amazing baker. So, I had an idea in my head and was not sure how to execute and guess what??? She was able to do it!!!! Thank you Nancy!!!

Cameron was requesting a Super Mario B-day party and what better but a Mega Mushroom Cake!

The pattern

The Cake

Here we goooooooooo

The Base

Nancy piped the whole cake and even did some shading to give it dimension

Here he is and he's sooooooo cute!

This year Cameron and I talked and we decided Chuck E. Cheese was the place.
I did it on a Tuesday night and it was perfect. The place was quiet. We had the whole upstairs to ourselves and the kids were fabulous!!!

My cake inspiration came from the napkins I ordered.

The Kids enjoying PIZZA!!!

Cameron was so excited

All 11 kids!

Present time

Cake time!

Happy Birthday Cameron!!!!

His 'real' birthday is on the 29th. The reason we had this party early is so his BF Garret could come and Cameron made sure he told everyone that!!! This was the best party I've thrown. I get so stressed out having lots of people over and how will I entertain and what games will we play and then there is the mess and on and on and on. So, being able to go in set up, kids to play freely and then to leave the mess was heaven sent! I'll be doing something like this again for sure!

Quack Videos

I took some videos and I think I'll be shot for posting this first one...I did threaten to put it on FB so I decided to be nice and just post on here. Caught on tape.....

This waiter from Buca di Beppo was hanging out on the corner and started dancing for us...not sure what our driver and this waiter had going on but it felt rigged. I tried to video more but I kept pushing the wrong numbers so enjoy the 14 seconds!!!!

Quack Quack Quack

My mom, sis Vicki, Cameron and I went to Ride the Ducks on Monday! It was actually a lot of fun and it better be for $46 (and that was only for Cameron and I). You get a 60 min land ride through Seattle and a 30 min water ride and it's packed full of insightful information, fun music to sing-a-long to and VERY lame jokes.

There's Cameron with his quaker!!!

Cameron can be hard to please and gets bored real easy but he actually enjoyed this adventure and when it was all over asked if we could do it again.

It's strange to think that one moment you're on land and the next floating in the water.

After we were done we had a picnic under the Space Needle.

It was a gorgeous day!

I told you we were right under the Needle!!!!

Have you ever eaten slow food?

You're probably wondering what's up with this sign? I wasn't going to blog about this story that happened last month but when Vicki and I saw this sign I have to now!

Steve was here last month (for a minute) and we got to go to lunch with him. I told Cameron what we were doing and he asked if we could go to McDonald's (that is the first place Cameron will pick every time). I told him Steve doesn't eat 'fast' food and Cameron said, "Well, does he eat 'slow' food like Subway?" I thought that was pretty clever and then when Vicki and I went to lunch on Saturday to Benson's Best Bites I guess they serve 'slow' food too!

Look what we found!

A couple of weeks ago we were down on the Tacoma waterfront and came across this cute little guy!

From the minute Cameron saw him he wanted to take him home!

Not sure where his/her mom was but it was great being so close

Before-n-After

My one major goal this summer was to paint my bedroom furniture. Since the summer is coming to a close I thought I better get started. So yesterday I headed out bought some paint, invited a friend over to help and we started painting and we finished it too!!!!

Before
After
(Oh and I bought new bedding to go along with the "new" furniture)

This is what a $33 gallon of paint and a $4 can of spray paint can do!!! It looks brand new!!
You'd never guess now that this was my Grandparent's bedroom furniture and it's OLD!!!!

Before

After

I also added a little something to my kitchen

After

This has been a TERRIFIC summer!!! Cameron and I have been able to do a lot and for that I'm very grateful. Work started today so it's back to the grind!!! Good thing I like my job!!! I still have a ton of posts and will hopefully get to them soon!!!

It's all random!

Let me start out by saying I uploaded all of these backwards and I'm not redoing since it just took me an hour to upload these!!!! You'll have to bare with me and this might get a little confusing for sure!!

Going back to a place that you haven't been to in over 14 years you would expect some changes....but this place is totally different!!! Welcome to Rexburg, ID. I spent 2 years of my life here and I have to say it was probably the best 2 years of my life. I was young, free and independent!!!

SATURDAY

This is the grocery store that we would walk to....matter of fact it was the only grocery store in town and they had free delivery. So, if you couldn't hitch a ride from one of your friends at least it was close and you didn't have to haul all your groceries home.

FRIDAY

Several years ago Ricks College became BYU-Idaho. This was the only thing I found on campus that was there when I was there. Well, I found Thor but forgot to take a picture :(

Christi's graduation was long but I was glad I was able to attend!!!

YEA!!!! She did it!!!

She's accomplished a lot and I'm so proud of her!!!

THURSDAY

We ran around and shopped today!!!! We also went to the Hatch Family Chocolates you may notice this place from here. Steve Hatch was there but I thought it was cheezy asking for a picture of him since I've never even seen the show. The chocolates were good. My sister said their hot chocolate is to die for but drinking some in 90 degree weather didn't sound very appetizing!!!

After we left with our treats we drove by this shop....I made Teri stop because I thought it was so funny!!!!

WEDNESDAY

All my handbags traveled to SLC via mom and UPS....I was very excited to have a party and to hang out with friends and my cousins. It was a successful show...thanks Teri!!!!!

Teri also had her fantastic jewels out!!!!! She is so talented!

Talk about talent look at this yummy spread.......she even made purse cookies!

My cousins that were able to make it!!!

Brooke Taylor who we've known for a very long time!!!!!

TUESDAY

Vicki and I flew in around 1 and we were off to Rexburg for Christi's Senior Recital (I was not planning on attending her Graduation later in the week but as you saw at the beginning of the post I did). It was fun to visit and rock out to old tunes!

I was so excited to return to Rexburg but everything was soooooo different!!!

This is where I lived in the Spring of 94'

My sisters and my mom!!!! It was great to all be together and hang out for a minute!

MY S-I-S-T-E-R-S!!!

It will always be Rick's college to me!

A temple was built there in 07' and it's an amazing site up behind the school on the hill!!! It's cool and strange to see all the changes that have taken place and to think there wasn't even internet when I was attending this school.

This was the SPOT....the hangout....my peach pit and guess what????
It's GONE!!!! Nothing but this sign remains! Devastated!!!

Here's where I lived my first year at school 92' Heritage Manor. I moved in with 5 strangers and had the best year EVER!!!!!!
Mountain Pines????? What was wrong with Heritage Manor?

I lived here my second year....Royal Crest!

New Craigo's. New sign. New location. New food. Not home of the Famous Breadsticks anymore!!! Ask anyone that's why we went to Craigo's, for their breadsticks and they don't even make them anymore!!!!

Mary and Kim Taylor. 2 of the nicest people you've ever met....heck they put up with me!!!

Christi's recital. It was amazing and she did a tremendous job!!!! Words can't truly describe how talented she really is!

This was my trip in a nut shell! I have a few more pics to upload and I'll get to those in a few!!!
