July 2002I think I was pregnant during the hottest summer in Seattle...it didn't help that I'd gained 75+ pounds and I was two weeks over due. The doctor finally decided to induce me on the morning of the 28th--it didn't work!!! On the 29th they gave me potassin--Cameron's heart rate fell during every contraction and so they took him in an emergency c-section. I was just glad to get him out. Unfortunately, the anesthesiologist gave me way too much medicine and I was numb from my neck all the way down to my toes--that made breast feeding quite a treat. The whole delivery process SUCKED however--Cameron was perfect...he weighed in at 8.5 lbs and was 21 inches long.
