I can't believe I'm posting these pictures but I just had to journal this experience. Tuesday at 4 am I woke up feeling very strange and I could feel my upper labial frenum (scientific name for a little tag of tissue in the center of the upper lip that attaches the lip to the gums.) being stretched so tight. I instantly touched my face and that's when I feft the lips, then I touched all over and felt my forehead. I thought I was dreaming the sensation was so strange. I then jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom. This is what I saw.....
All I could do was laugh and I couldn't stop laughing. It was the funniest thing I ever saw and at 4 am there was no one to share it with. I felt fine so I took a couple of Bendryl and fell back to sleep hoping the swelling would be gone in the morning.
When I woke up my lips were even bigger and so was the mass on my forehead!
I ended up at the doctor that afternoon. Everyone stared at me and it was kind of embarrassing. I got so frustrated at one guy that I grunted at him...he just would not stop starring. I learned a HUGE lesson...I sometimes stare at people that have abnormalities and I never will again! It's uncomfortable and I now know how they feel.
The doctor thinks it was either caused by the weeds I was pulling on Monday or the ant spray I used. However, last night I did kill a nice size spider in my room...isn't that ironic!
