What a great week...it helps that I just had a four day weekend. Cameron had school on Monday so we planned to have lunch together. He asked me to bring chicken-yaki (translation: chicken teriyaki). I asked if we could share one for lunch and he informed me that the lunch lady says no sharing food. I headed out and met him in his classroom with two lunches in hand. We walked to the lunchroom together and he introduced me to everyone--every Kindergartner, every first grader and even lots of second graders, "this is my mom...she came to have lunch with me." He repeated that over and over. He was so proud to have his mom there at school.
Cameron this next comment is for you...when I was 14 I was a beast to my parents. I was rude, inconsiderate, selfish, disobedient and wanted nothing to do with them--ever! Please I'm begging you when your 14 I would appreciate it if you were still this proud to have me as your mom!!!!! I love you!

Mandy that is a fabulous post! I loved it!
that was so sweet! you really are a wonderful mom, no wonder he is so proud!
I love the "no sharing"...I will probably tell everyone that. Also...nice trophy!
HAHA like anyone can finish one of those teriyakis by themselves. That's funny espeically since when we go to teriyaki i have to share with all 3 of my kids.
ok...for some reason i totally got teary-eyed when i read this post. you're an amazing mom and cameron is lucky to have you! :-)
That is the SWEETEST thing ever! I think I would have cried- then embarrassed my children and they wouldn't have wanted to spread the word that I was their mom!!! :) You are such a "cool" mom I'm sure he will do the exact same thing when he's 14!

Mandy always made sure that she walked well ahead or way behind whenever we went anywhere. I just talked to her loudly so everyone would know she was with us anyway. DAD
