Need your help!!!!!!!!!!

Mason, #20 (who is on Cameron's soccer team) house burnt down yesterday. Everyone is safe but they lost everything. If you have any boy stuff that you would like to donate I'm sure the family would appreciate it. Mason is about the same size as Cameron--contact me if you want ideas. They also have a daughter who is around 10 (I think). I'll try and get more details about the family. I'd be willing to come and pick up or you could drop of at my house.

This is a video from Cameron's soccer game on Saturday. I love watching him play!

Brilliant!!!!

I had a conference with Cameron's kindergarten teacher; I need to add that she is fabulous. Cameron has a lot of special things that he needs and she is all about incorporating them into the classroom. Yesterday she was reviewing his scores with me like how many letters he recognizes, letter sounds, patterns, shapes etc. and then informs me he is at the top of the class (big smile)!!!! As I was looking over the paperwork the things that were highlighted he had passed off--I scanned down to the section that read "word recognition,"there were about 10 words. He know 2 out of the 10...drum roll please...."a" and "I"...BRILLIANT!!!

10 months too long

Ashley came into town this week...we have not seen her since December. It was nice to visit and catch up. Cameron was not to interested in visiting; however, he did sucker her into 50 cents for a video game. I refuse to pay...it always turns into a HUGE argument because one game is never good enough. When he asked Ashley for more money she said, "sorry bud, I don't have anymore quarters." Then he gets up and says ok!!!! WHATEVER!!!!

WOW, look what I found today and it's not even ARCO!

We finshed it...

Aunt Vicki bought Cameron 2 Geronimo Stilton books when he turned 5. I tried reading them to him last summer but he wasn't interested. Well, he found the books while cleaning up last week and we read and read and read. Cameron is so excited that we finished the 100 page book last night and can start the next one.

I need "him" to smell on

Blankie has been banished to the upstairs...almost!
I've attempted several times in the past to make blankie stay at home but somehow "he" always sneaks into the car with us. Then I changed the rules and said "he" could go with us but never into stores...oh yea right! Picture this--I'm standing in the middle of the Target parking lot arguing with a six year old about putting "him" back into the car. Cameron is clutching it tightly, crying hysterically, acting as if I'm trying to abduct his best friend and repeating over and over, "I need him...I need him to smell on!" I give in every time...it breaks my heart--just call me sucker. I'm done!!!!! So, we came to an understanding last week that blankie now lives upstairs and if he wants blankie then he will need to visit him there. Okay, half way up the stairs is close enough!!!

Soccer in the water...sooo cool!!!

Today was a fun day...it started out with soccer. Other Grandma and Grandpa came to watch and my Dad was impressed at how much Cameron has improved in just a few weeks. They won 8-7 and Cameron made 2 goals!!!! As you all know I'm loud but I'm really loud on the soccer field. I'm so proud of Cameron!!!!!

After the game we decided to hang out with Grandma & Grandpa...we were spoiled! Jamba Juice, lunch and Cameron got 2 new Pokemon toys (Grandpa threw away Pikachu last week so he was attempting to replace it--no luck). Then we headed to watch Uncle Mike's water polo team. Cameron loved it!!!!

Is that Justin Guarini???

I'm thinking so...

Uncle Mike is the one with the ball...they did great and I'm impressed with Mike's skill. They won both games today!
The only down fall of the day is I saw too much butt crack--its gross!

This has been a great weekend!!! Cameron thought soccer in the water was soooo cool!!!!

What are you crying about?

Today Cameron had no school and I was off of work...we met my friend Amy and her three girls at the Bouncy Place. You are probably wondering why Cameron is crying? I asked him...did you hurt yourself? You don't want to be here? Is it because I made "Blankie" stay home (a whole other story)? No, No, No!!!! I was totally confused...so while he was having a fit I decided to take pictures. Then he said....

"I don't want to carry the money"

Heaven forbid...next time you pay!!!

This is a totally cool picture of Cameron inside one of the inflatables...my dad gave me his old cell phone. I have no clue how to use it but I took this pic!!!

Truth or Whopper?

About 6 months ago we had an FHE lesson about lying. Wow Wow Wubbzy (way cute cartoon) had an episode about telling whoppers. Wubbzy spent the whole show lying to his friends and the lie kept getting bigger and bigger. It was an easy way to explain lying vs. telling the truth. Cameron got it!!!!! It was pretty simple. Since then there has not been too many problems with lying.

Today I worked late and arrived home at 5:30. My mom had left for the cannery and my brother Keith, who was in charge, was locked in his room playing on his lap top. Cameron left to his own devices had eaten 4 fudgesicles...I asked him who gave him permission to eat one and he told me Grandma (first whopper). He stuck to his story till I told him I was going to ask her. Then as I was attempting to use the bathroom in PRIVATE...somebody just wanted to talk. He told me that he was on yellow again today, when I asked him why, he tells this story..ok second whopper, "these kids on recess pushed me...then they all stood around me calling me names...like you are a stinky boy (you should have seen his face--he looked so sad about the whole event--slid down the wall and sat on the floor to talk)...it hurt my feelings and then I cried real hard." I asked if the teacher had done anything and he says NO!! Ok, I got sucked in for 2.5 seconds. Here are the thoughts that raced through my head:
  • My poor little boy!!!
  • How come nobody called me?
  • What kind of school is my son attending??
  • What kind of parent's raise kids like that?????
  • What brats!!!!!

Then I jumped back into reality and realized it was probably another WHOPPER!!!! I got him to fess up again when I said I was going to call the teacher as soon as I was done in the bathroom. There was a third lie (reason for the triple Whopper picture) but I can't recall what it is. Another chance for a parenting moment...I made him pinkie swear he would tell the truth and then I told him the story of the boy who cried wolf--his only comment was, "I like that story can you tell it again."

I mentioned a few days ago that my brother and son are EXACTLY ALIKE!!!! Keith use to make up the most bizarre stories as a child...he had an active imagination. I think Teri started this--we would always ask him after he was done telling a story, "Keith truth or story?"

"Mom, It's 3PP0 & R2D2"

I see my shadow

Please keep reading...I've made several posts in the last 2 days and I'm happy to say I'm almost caught up.

Aunt Vicki came to watch Cameron's soccer game. (side note) I was grateful she was there...I was not feeling well and ended up on the couch all weekend with a horrible headache. Cameron loved it because he got to watch cartoons for 2 days. My son reminds me of my brother Keith...they could be twins. When my brother would play baseball you could often find him watching his Shadow as he ran the bases or picking the grass and talking to himself while he was in the outfield. Cameron spent most of this game chasing/watching his shadow..."when I look at it I can see how fast I'm running."

If you remember I complained about the uniforms and duplicate numbers on the same team...well, now we have 2 teams with the same colored uniforms in the same league. What is going on???? There are a zillion number combinations out there and an abundant of color options. Can we please think outside of the box!!!!

Go Wolves!!!!!

Keeps getting better

Again today after breakfast Cameron asked to do Homework. Don't laugh...while watching him I got teared up...he is so big...he can write and is sounding out long words. It's amazing!!!! I'm so proud of him.

At school Cameron wears uniforms; school picture day was "free dress" day--I didn't think it was fair to make Cameron wear something I wanted him to on his first free dress day, so, I let Cameron pick out his own outfit...Pokemon shirt and shorts. Go figure! He let me do his hair although you can't tell.
I was caught...

Cameron was so proud of his 6 flies he drew, "mom, I made them happy by drawing smiles!"

Just a few months ago Cameron would not even sit to color. Now, he loves to draw and color and is staying in the lines.

It's getting closer...

Today between Conference sessions my mom got out the Halloween decorations and asked Cameron to help. He made his own witch costume, "mom, I think this is what I'll wear trick-or-treating." I'm thinking, NO--I just spent $22 on a Darth Vader costume and you can't return it!!! He lost interest pretty quick. We are very excited for Halloween because Dallin will be coming from UT and Kensie from CA to hang out and play. Ought to be interesting with ALL of us under the same roof. Hey, Vicki can I come stay with you for the weekend?

Please Mom, can we do my homework?

I know this might sound weird but Cameron begs to do homework!!!! How long with this glorious event last???

Doing the Puyallup

I'm way behind with posting and I've forgotten my camera at some very important events. Bare with me as I catch up...
This was a crazy Saturday! Cameron had a game in the morning--tie 3 to 3. Cameron thought that was pretty cool. He made the first goal of the game but of course I was not taping it. Then he started doing an instant replay--it was way cute. Then that afternoon we took off to the Puyallup Fair (Grandma, Vicki, Steve, Jamie and Kensie). Of course we go the last weekend and the first day it rains. The weather had been beautiful for weeks...
I love my brother Steve. I'm so proud of him and the weight he's lost and the body he's created. However, it gets very old listening to his EGO. He teases me constantly and knows that I get bugged by it--sometimes. Here was his chance to show off!! He thought it would be funny to take off his shirt--thank goodness it was raining.

We looked at a lot of animals...

Sheep Booty!!!!

Mom, what's up with the eyes?? It's chained up it's not going to get you!

Pig nose!
Unfortunately, the rain shut down most of the big rides. I was looking forward to the roller coaster. Cameron and I went on the Ferris Wheel.

All the kiddy rides were open...this was one of their favs.

Thumbs up Kensie!!!
Cameron had to ride on this one again because it made cool wheelies. Then he had a melt down because I would not let him ride again. When do they finally learn that MONEY DOES NOT GROW ON TREES????? I spent $50 and we got in free!

I have videos to post but I can't get them to work right now so I'll try again another day!!!!
