Boom Boom Pow

I need to start off by saying I love the new Black Eyed Peas CD!!! Don't you think the boom boom pow song is fitting for the fourth of July holiday? It's been in my player for over a week now and as soon as they come to concert I'm there!

Cameron and I went camping with Jimmy's family to Lake Cushman. We had a great time; the weather was beautiful, the lake is gorgeous and there was a ton of fireworks! Cameron thought the "sprinklers" aka sparklers were pretty cool until one sparked on his tongue...lol!

I swear I've made smores with Cameron before but he acted like he had no idea how to make one. Jimmy was excited to teach him!

The scenery around this lake is awesome; there are waterfalls, creeks, streams and lots of cool rock formations.

and YES the water was freezing....

Here are the kids posing in the woods

Here is the rock we jumped off....I'm a screamer and screamed the whole way down till I hit the water. It was a rush!

Cameron decided he wanted to jump off with his dad--So, Jimmy hoisted him on his back and scaled him up the rock.

Here they are at the top. Cameron went up one time and changed his mind quickly but after lunch we went back and he decided to try it again.

Unfortunately, you can't see Cameron but he is there hiding behind Jimmy. If you look you can see the back of Cameron's life vest.

This was a memorable 4th of July for sure!

Big Weekend

Cameron and I are enjoying the summer thus far. This week we were able to enjoy the sun, hang out with friends and Vicki had me packing and organizing my crap! All in all it's a good start....
Friday Cameron and I went over to Aunt Erica's house (Jimmy's sister) to meet their Dad who was in from Spokane. It was a very eventful evening; first, we rode the quads. I had heels on so that made it kind of interesting...lol!

Then Andrew and Cameron took it for a spin...

and then it was Cameron's turn!

Next, Cameron jumped on a bike with no training wheels and started riding it...what? I've been begging him for weeks to take those things off and we refused!

he is sooooo proud of himself!

This is Grandpa Henry.....Cameron loves his Grandpas and was so excited to meet his "new" Grandpa!

Here is everyone being goofy.....Andrew (7), Eric (4), Grandpa Henry, Joseph (8) and Cameron (6). Cameron loves playing with his "new" cousins and begs to go over there all the time!

Last but not least on Saturday Cameron lost his tooth.....look at that grin!

I was laying in bed Sunday morning and I heard my mom and Cameron talking:
Cameron: Grandma, the tooth fairy did not come! (at this point I'm kicking myself.....I even checked to make sure I had cash and still forgot!)
Grandma: Maybe the tooth fairy is on vacation. She'll probably come tomorrow night!
Cameron: (now in my room) Mom, the tooth fairy is on vacation that's why she didn't come.
Mom: Yea, that sounds right...it is summer time! (still feeling like a horrible mom)

A Day out with Dad

Cameron wanted to go to Denny's and have breakfast with his Dad. Why is Denny's such a fun place to go when you're a kid? As a kid I always looked forward to when my Grandma and Grandpa Bellingham would take us there! I'm glad Cameron is able to make good memories there too. After Cameron ate chicken and fries for breakfast (I know, I know) we headed to the family fun center!

Video games, video games, video games!!! I hate playing them because I'm no good! It's a real ego-deflater when the 6 year old beats you almost every time and then when you finally do win they get mad! Jimmy challenged Cameron, beat him and Cameron was a good sport about it!

Jimmy also won Cameron 6 dinosaurs.....I call these machines "money suckers" but Jimmy was successful...this sucks for me because Cameron told me, "if my dad can do it you can too mom!" Next time you see me ask me the story about the time I spent $40 in one of these machines....lol!

I got stuck playing in the water with Cameron.....I say stuck because I had white shorts on! It was a total set-up, I was the only adult and there were 5 rug rats in there who all ganged up on me. Cameron told me he would not get me wet and he didn't!

Then it was off to the races.....

Who will win?

These cars go so slow.....it's hard to catch people when your the last one out of the gate but they didn't do to badly; "My dad, passed 5 people!"

"Mom, I really love my dad and he drives soooooo fast too!!!"

Back in the water....this time I sat out!

Cameron loves to jump on "other" G&G's tramp, so, of course he had to give this a whirl!

Today was a great day! Cameron and his dad are really enjoying getting to know each other and I'm honored to be a part!

"Wow, he looks like me!"

Cameron must of repeated that phrase 20x....he was amazed when he saw this picture of his dad!

"I met my dad and he is awesome!!!"

Sometimes life does not go exactly the way you think it should...lol! When I was younger I never would have dreamt my life would of taken the path that it did...but it is what it is! I've said it before and I'll say it again I don't regret any of my past and I really look forward to what the future has to hold. I also know that I love my son with all my heart and he has been the greatest blessing in my life. Cameron is 6 years old and had never met his dad...after a lot of pondering and prayer they finally met last night. Cameron was very excited and also very nervous! It was one of the most amazing things I've witnessed in a long time...I'd like to introduce Cameron's dad Jimmy!

Cameron lingered back by my car for a second or two and then sprinted, jumped up into his arms and gave him a huge hug! Then they ran off and played, laughed, and talked! Cameron woke up this morning telling me how awesome is dad is....
