Another side note: I need to apologize to Steve!!! I posted my blog entry from last night and not 20 minutes later Steve, Jamie & Kensie called me!! Brother I love you and thanks for thinking of me on my day!!!! The even funnier part is he reminded Teri to call (ok, she was one of my 41 shout outs on Facebook!) Gotta love it!
Have you heard how much I love my birthday??? Well, it's a pretty amazing day! Here is what happened today...first you must read your birthday horoscope: "Your creative impulses are very strong this year, and if you haven't already, you may very well get in touch with the artist in you! You may find that your mind (and perhaps speech!) races frequently. It's an especially strong period in your life for enterprise and personal opportunities, as well as interpersonal relationships. Relationships are warm, friendly, and beneficial this year." Hmmm...nothing too exciting! Then you just enjoy the day with no expectations...let me tell you that's hard! And of course end the day with a yummy meal somewhere (Cameron and I went to Red Robin--he picked it). Today I received a lot of love from family and friends (ok, mostly friends). My dad was the first to call me at 7:05 am and the phone, email, and texts have been buzzing ever since. Here is the tally so far (I just counted them for blogging purposes only):
I work in the schools and love it when the kids bring treats to share with their friends. Some of you might think that only Elementary kids do this...NOPE...middle school and even the high school kids. Unfortunately, the high school kids want their parents to bring in pizza or subs for their friends...some parents actually do it! Well, I thought it would be fun to bake cake shaped cookies and take them to work tomorrow to share with my groups!
and then my friend Jen stopped by and gave me a present...I was shocked!!! She did read my pity party entry earlier in the week...boy, do I feel stupid! I guess it pays to complain...lol! Look at the cool bracelet and earrings that she made me. I have several of her pieces and just love them...you should check out her website http://jenwebleydesigns.blogspot.com/ Thanks Jen that really meant a lot and I love having you as a friend too!!!!
Something you may or may not know about me is I hate surprises...I can't stand it!!! If you know something and won't tell me I go crazy...but when you catch me off guard it's a pretty cool thing!

~Birthday~okay, it's not really till the 4th (right now go mark it on your calendar...march 4...that's this Wednesday!!!) I need to take full advantage of the week!!! I love birthdays and think that everyone should have a week long celebration which would consist of lots of gifts, no work, all the food you want to eat with no negative consequences to the body and yummy yummy cake!!! Unfortunately, I'm usually let down...I fantasize of what I would like it to look like and it never quite turns out that way. Here are some examples; when I turned 14 my dad said I could wear make-up...so, all my friends that came gave me make-up. I got caught wearing nail polish (is that really make-up??) a few days before my birthday and he grounded me from my presents for 2 weeks!! What was this girl to do!?? When I turned 16 that was the magic age to start dating and to drive...well, no guys came knocking on my door and I did not have a 3.0 GPA to drive so that birthday was ruined too. Well, my mom did throw me a sweet 16 and I invited all her friends and got really cool gifts so I guess it wasn't that bad...lol! When I turned 30 I cried...I threw a great party but I was devastated at where I was at and how much time I'd wasted. Now I'm turning 35 and I can't wait to see what life has in store--I'm really excited! I asked Cameron what he was getting me for my birthday and he said, "I'm going to give you a Pokemon...no, I'll give you one of my toys I don't want to play with anymore...you'll really like it mom!"
WARNING: You might be hearing about my birthday A LOT this week!!!!

Ok, so about the above picture...I think the last time we were all together was when the girls decided to do an intervention on me...yes, I said intervention!! It didn't go over big but I will always be grateful that they loved enough to try! So, I was sooo happy when Carrie called and said Cyndi was in town for a conference and the three of us got together for dinner...it was so fun to laugh about all the weird things we did!!! I love these girls and will be forever grateful for their friendship over the past 21 years!!!!
I now tag:
Cameron is loving swim lessons or maybe it's the routine that we are in--
ly sing and I started to and then I realized you would all be listening so I stopped...enjoy! I just watched this again...I seriously need to edit it...not the best video lots of dead spots. Oh well...
I got Cameron a card and some chocolate...he was so excited!
After he realized I got him something he decided to needed to get me a Valentine also. He picked through his stack he got yesterday and found one with no writing on it...it's all about going green. This year I received 2 Hershey kisses, a quarter and a recycled Valentine which read, "A Valentine from me to you...The Lord loves us very much." Someone actually brought in religious Valentine cards in Kindergarten???? hmmm...
I'm not sure why Cameron put one of the cards in his mouth...I was making his lunch this morning and I looked up and saw him swipe it across his lips, "Ouch it cut me!" Grandma was nice enough to offer him a wet rag to help with the pain....it worked because he kept doing his cards!
